LLL of Minnesota and the Dakotas wishes to partner with all health care providers who are supporting breastfeeding parents. We hope you are sending your patients and clients to us for the unique parent-to-parent support LLL has provided for 70 years.
La Leche League meetings offer parents a chance to get to know other breastfeeding mothers in their area and to talk about what it's really like to breastfeed in an informal, mother-to-mother setting.
We hope doctors, midwives, nurses, doulas, and anyone else who works with women during pregnancy will encourage those women to attend LLL meetings during pregnancy. This is a great way for women to learn, get questions answered ahead of time, and build a relationship with their local LLL Leader, should they need to call for support once their baby arrives.
